"I draw inspiration from the natural beauty found daily. My dive into singing & painting begun in the fall of 2013 as I was immersed in a deep healing journey that was a cathartic awakening giving birth to my fearless instinct to create and encourage others on their own creative and healing paths. These creative expressions are for me portals to the heart's mysteries connecting all Beings and Creation. These are powerful ways to connect with self, others, the earth and Divine Guides by attuning with Life all around in each given moment and perceiving beauty and translating it in shapes, symbols, colours and sounds. I believe in life-long learning and I love to support others in their personal journeys.
In additional to these offerings I also have an integrative private practice where I offer individual, couples, family counseling and integrative healing retreats. As a certified, registered counselor and certified expressive arts facilitator, I have a natural curiosity, openness, and delight in connecting and attuning with others. I relish in exploring all of the senses as internal guiding systems for the benefits of self and others.
Background: I was initially raised in Montreal, Canada and have made my home in the Kootenays, British Columbia for 25 years. I have 20 plus years in the field of personal transformation and healing. I hold a Masters in Counseling psychology and I have over 15 years providing sacred space for personal retreats. In 2017 and 2018 I connected with visionary artist Marsha Donner who took me under her wing and inspired in me a love of the divine feminine through learning to paint intuitively. This led me to complete an "Art of Allowing" facilitator training with Flora Aube, an amazing artist and guide into painting the Divine Feminine, a playful, sensual method of connecting to the energetic field of the receptive, open and intuitive realms and co-create with our Muses, inner guides or Goddesses from that receptive no-knowing place where we learn to attune, listen and see what yearns to be born through us. This process is also one of self-discovery leading to mastery when we learn to hold sacred spaces for our own unique processes and to those we have the privilege of assisting.
Here are some qualities I aspire to continue cultivating: I am touched by a recent comment from a dear friend who expressed the following when pondering some quality I am learning to cultivate: "Courage over Fearlessness; Wisdom over Knowledge; Patience over Speed, Deep listening and inspired speaking; choice over paralysis; conscious being over mindless doing; experience, humility, understanding and compassion".
In addition to painting I love gardening, learning from plant Medicines through Indigenous Healing practices, traveling, dancing, singing, hiking, skiing, climbing mountains and playing mermaid in the pristine waters of mother Earth. I am immensely grateful for all Sentient beings and the opportunity to grow everyday and share the song of Life.
“The earth is our origin and destination. The ancient rhythms of the earth have insinuated themselves into the rhythms of the human heart. The earth is not outside us; it is within: the clay from where the tree of the body grows. When we emerge from our offices, rooms and houses, we enter our natural element. We are children of the earth: people to whom the outdoors is home. Nothing can separate us from the vigour and vibrancy of this inheritance. In contrast to our frenetic, saturated lives, the earth offers a calming stillness. Movement and growth in nature takes time. The patience of nature enjoys the ease of trust and hope. There is something in our clay nature that needs to continually experience this ancient, outer ease of the world. It helps us remember who we are and why we are here.” John O'Donohue
